I was in a very large pool with some friends and family and strangers. We were swimming around and saw there was something swimming under us. I went underwater and saw it was a whale coming right for us. We were in its path and I swam out of the way just in time for it to breach. At first everyone seemed scared but then we realized that the whale was friendly and didn't mean us any harm. There were three whales - the mom and then two smaller whales. One looked like a mix between a seal and a whale and one a mix between a dog and a whale. The dog one was wearing hiking boots and hiking socks and was super clumsy and sometimes got out of the pool to splash around. The whales would swim around you and with their energy let you know that you could swim together in circles with them. I got to do this with the seal whale and we went underwater and swam around together just the two of us. It was really special. I could see better underwater than I could above.
I was nighttime and I was somewhere camping with a group of really bizarre people. Bizarre in the way that none of these people would actually be together, but it was still nice. Like Lauren Markely, Ethan, these girls I was friends with in Colorado, other people from other camps that I worked at, Courtney, some of her friends from the wedding, etc. We were all outside having a campfire and someone started singing - we didn't know who it was, because looking around you could tell it wasn't anyone that we were with. I started looking around and then I started noticing all these lights in the trees above our heads, they weren't glowing as bright as light bulbs but they were more like orbs of light. At first it was super blurry, and there was this hot summer wind that was rushing around us, so if you didn't know any better, you would hear wind and not the singing. I couldn't see any of these lights in focus, but people that were outside with us started noticing too, and the singing got louder. Then I realized that these orbs weren't just orbs but they were angels! Angels from heaven and we were really nervous because obviously we had never seen anything like this before, but they were so beautiful and the song was THE MOST BEAUTIFUL song I've ever heard in my life - everything sounded so perfect, like you had never before heard true singing until right then.

Then they were no longer in the trees and they were in front of us, on the ground. Just right there. And I started looking at them, and most of these angels I didn't recognize, probably 80 percent I didn't recognize, but out of the 30 or so angels that were with us, I saw my friend Josh from highschool, this other boy Timmy that went to my highschool, Austin, and my grandpa. They all looked exactly like I remember them to be, but a lot happier, and I remember getting really sad and super upset. I started crying and then this one angel came over to me, a girl that was wearing this really pale blue dress with long sleeves and had long brown hair. She listened to me explain how I was really happy that everyone was there and that I knew people from my past were comfortable and safe, but still felt sad that they weren't with me because I'm selfish. She touched my shoulder and said she understood. Everything went blue around me, and as she was talking to me I felt at peace and somehow knew that everything would be okay. I looked around and the angels were talking to the other people I was with; laughing and talking and just hanging out. Then they said they had to go and they were up in the trees again and they started dimming out of focus just as how they came.

I went inside to this house where we were staying at. And for some reason there were parents everywhere, at least my parents and alexs parents, and I wanted to find him and tell him what I saw but I knew I would get in trouble if I did. One time I went over to Alex and he were halfway talking in your sleep and told me that he had three steaks for dinner that night.
i had a dream last night that i lived in a city and at one point a few months back, part of the city fell underground and no one knew why. there was a circular hole that was on a small hill where buildings used to be, about a block in diameter. no one really investigated it because there were always very loud noises coming from the hole, it sounded like a railroad or a large construction site with tons of screetching and whistles, and engines blasting. everyone in the city had become accustomed to the hole in the ground, until one day when it started getting louder and louder - you could hear it across the entire area, and when you were up close, it was so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think, it really became the only noise in the city.

everyone moved out, all the visitors left and only a few people our age remained, probably about 50 or so. the sound lasted only a few days or maybe it was just a few hours, but it was almost unbearable. the people that were left including myself were running past it one night in order to get home, and then all of the sudden this terrible noise shot out of it, so we all stopped and covered our ears.

MILLIONS of strands of string and rope came shooting out of the hole each with a different size balloon on the ends of them. the strands weren't normal balloon length but probably 10 times that, some even looked like they were hundreds of feet in the air. and the size of the balloons varied from small to ones as big as my room! it was really cool to see, especially because it was at night so it was hard to tell at first what they were. they looked like giant lollypops shooting out of the sky. everyone was amazed and then, slowly the buildings started to raise up out of the ground again. inch by inch.

i was driving around in fayetteville, but i wasn't actually driving i was in a convertible in the back seat. there was a giant turtle fighting a bird ahead of me in the sky. the turtle killed the bird and also it ripped off its wings kept on flying. i thought, wow that's really messed up i should get home quickly.

when i got on my street i realized i wasn't in the car anymore, but actually floating home. i looked behind me and realized that the turtle was coming at me, gaining speed as he came closer. he looked super mad at me and kept going faster and faster directed at my head. at the last second i ducked my head and juked the turtle and as it passed my head i smacked the shell. then it crashed into the ground, split open and all this jelly came out. i felt bad for one second until i realized that my mom had left groceries on the front step for me and the entire bag was full of Udi's cinnamon raisin bagels and then i felt pretty cool.
at the beginning of my dream we were at a plot of land. Alex and i visited a lot when we were at school. we were super young in the beginning of my dream, like 18. and there was this HUGE tree that was at this place that we always visited.

there was a pink flower that looked almost like it was made of felt and it was a circle in the middle with four long skinny pink velvety leaves that were probably 5 inches long and only about an inch wide at the most. we visited fairly often and noticed over the years as the tree grew bigger and taller, the pink flower would die where it was and then grow again a few feet taller on the tree trunk.

so we came one day once we were older, probably like 28 but i still felt like myself right now. you were really excited and couldn't wait to show me. the tree kind of looked sick and unhealthy, but Alex said it was okay when I was nervous. then all of the sudden, all the old places that the pink flower had been unzipped and the tree sort of shifted on a diagonal so it was standing up straight. the pink spots shifted and made this huge knot in the tree and it hollowed itself out and created this window that looked like stained class, but it was really just all made of wood and little branches. it was really beautiful.

He got a grin on your face and said well! come inside! so we went in and it was SO COLORFUL AND REALLY REALLY REALLY beautiful. the layout of the house itself was basically on one floor but every room was a few stairs different than the others so they felt like separate compartments of our house. i remember going in the kitchen and it was pretty small but we had a HUGE fridge and a HUGE area to hold all of our fresh produce. both of these appliances took up a wall together but i didn't mind because Alex said it was a good investment and everyone agreed. the walls in the house were really rustic and the ceilings were exposed wood beams. in each room there were certain paintings on the walls like and one specific one i remember seeing in the kitchen near the table was probably a foot up from the bottom of the wall and was more like one long verticle rectangle with little sections in squares coming off of it? really colorful dots and markings kind of like that drawing by eva hesse i like.

we went into one of the guest bedrooms and the door was shorter in height and when alex opened the door right above the door was a picture of a circle cartoon boy yelling and then diagonal up the wall towards the ceiling was a train comic coming out of his mouth with a sentence from dr suess i'm not sure what it said, the room walls were hardwood floors and each beam strip was painting light blue (this room is hard to explain). the room itself wasn't a square or a rectangle it was an odd shape and the  ceiling also wasn't flat, it went up. its like he had designed this room AROUND the drawing, it was really neat.

i liked all the rooms we saw and then alex brought me upstairs to our room, which was a loft overlooking the main living area. there was a lot of natural light because there were so many windows in the house. we had a GIANT (queen sized) bed which was kind of low to the ground and had navy blue bedding on it. all the blankets were blue. there was a red carpet underneath the bed, which made the bed pop! but the carpet wasn't in the whole room. there was what looked to some as a walk in closet attached to our room, but it was actually just for things that we like a lot, no clothes allowed. so it was like a little treasure chest of goodies. there were magazine racks full of old maps and prints from contemporary printmakers and photographers and artists that alex had been collecting for us. the maps were really neat, it was like he went to every thriftstore in the world and found all the fold-up maps from ALL over and it was so nice.

we sat on the bed and i said i like this room the best, and alex told me that he made it for us to share together. and i couldn't believe how nice all of it was and how perfectly grownup but still young and youthful it all was. it was really really magical and special and i was so happy and proud of you.
I was in Australia on a walk-about tour by myself and everyone was say that I should go swimming in this river where the sheep graze, so I did. The river was really quiet and just like a babbling brook so I kept swimming down it. The sheep were swimming too and I said out loud to one of them, 'wow this is such a shallow river'. As soon as I said that I saw that the river ahead of me was darker and faster moving so I knew it was getting deeper. The sheep looked nervous and frightened but the water was moving too fast for us to turn around. I saw some sheep struggling the further the river went and I passed them as the water pushed me. Then it was like I was on a water ride at an amusement park going around corners and down huge slopes the water was faster and faster and I saw dead sheep under the water. There was a wooden railing on one of the sides so I swam to that and tried to hold on. The river was leading me to a cave and the sky was getting darker but I could notice that the wooden railing at this point was actually raw lamb meat that was the same thickness of the wood beam. It was so slippery I couldn't hang on and I was so disgusted but I knew I had to use it or else I would drown. The river lead me to an elaborate room with beds and a dining room table and marble statues. I got a bad feeling i my stomach and saw that the cushions and the couches and the blankets were moving because they were stuffed with live snakes.
